Wow! What can we say?

Many of you reading this article are wondering, what happened to Skysoft Digital?

The answer, explained:
Near the end of December 2007, the founders of Skysoft Digital, Martin Horneman and Joe Pilon, felt it necessary to finally make the jump and found an actual corporation. While they would have loved to incorporate Skysoft Digital, there were a couple of issues that would have resulted in a possible application-rejection from the government:

  • the name "Skysoft" conflicted with existing corporations
  • the trademark for "Skysoft" is currently registered with another company

The company responsible for filling out the forms for incorporating this company highly recommended selecting a new name for the company. So the founders hit the drawing board, ultimately coming up with the name "Netcode". When brainstorming idea's, they wanted a name that was short, easy to remember, and most importantly represented the services this company provides. "Net" obviously representing the Internet and "code" representing the lines of programming text required for any webpage or application to run on a webserver was the best choice. After doing a nuans search (required government search on any name before proceeding with forming a corporation) zero direct matches were found and the process for forming the corporation began.

As much as we hate to leave the name "Skysoft Digital" in the dust, this strategic move towards incorporating this firm was done with the best interest at heart. Many new exciting ventures and services are planned for Netcode in 2008, so make sure you keep checking our website for the latest news and announcements which are posted at the end of each month.

We hope everyone has had as great a year as we have!
